Chatfield State Park
Chatfield State Park is located on a reservoir in northwestern Douglas County. The park has camping, a marina, a model airplane field and a popular hot-air balloon launch area.
Larkspur, Colorado
The small town of Larkspur in Douglas County is best known for its annual Colorado Renaissance Festival, which attracts more than 180,000 visitors each year. Larkspur is located off Interstate 25 near the Pike National Forest.

Parker - The Wildlife Experience
The Wildlife Experience in Parker is an interactive museum that highlights wildlife and their habitats. Exhibits include trivia, video games, natural history exhibits, artwork, and large-format movies. Some of the specific displays include the Planet Earth, the Story of Dogs, and Art of Canines.

Roxborough State Park
Roxborough State Park is known for its spectacular red rock outcroppings, which can be viewed on the series of hiking trails. The park is located southwest of Denver in Douglas County. In addition to the beautiful scenery, wildlife abound including the black bear, mountain lion and elk.
