The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad operates on 64 miles of the historic Rio Grande line between Antonito, Colorado and Chama, New Mexico. Highlights include Cumbres Pass (10,015 ft) and the 1,100-foot-deep Toltec Gorge.

The former home of heavyweight boxing champion Jack Dempsey in Manassa has been restored and opened as a museum. Artifacts from his career, including the gloves he wore in the New York fight and black-and-white photographs line the walls.
