boutiques, antique shops and restaurants to suit every taste. Opportunities for hiking, biking, cross country skiing, backpacking and off-road driving abound in the back country around Carbondale. There are tennis courts, riding stables and two championship golf courses. The area is known for its hunting and fishing, kayaking and whitewater rafting.
