Description
(Local Name: Musée d'Unterlinden) In Colmar, immediately east of the theater is the former Dominican convent of Unterlinden, founded in the early 13th C, which became a great center of mystical thought in the 14th and 15th centuries. It has preserved a beautiful Early Gothic cloister with double arcades. The conventual buildings and the Early Gothic church (consecrated by Albertus Magnus in 1269) now house the Unterlinden Museum (Romanesque and Gothic sculpture, medieval painting, folk art and crafts, contemporary art, etc.

The first floor is devoted to Alsatian folk art (toys, furniture, weapons, pottery, porcelain, faience, stained glass, prints).
