Cochrane - Polar Bear Habitat

 
The Polar Bear Habitat in Cochrane is a new facility designed to allow visitors close up views and interaction with wildlife, including polar bears. The most famous portion of the Polar Bear Habitat is an area that allows visitors to swim in a pool while polar bears swim in an adjacent pool, divided by a glass barrier. The Polar Bear Conservation and Education Habitat is the only polar bear rehabilitation facility in the world.

The Heritage Village consists of buildings filled with artifacts of days gone by including a Snowmobile Museum filled with over 50 sleds, trophies and more, as well as a barn which houses horses in the summer and hosts horse shows, and a trapper's cabin.
