Description
The Cleveland Flats, the low-lying area of old industrial buildings round the outflow of the Cuyahoga River into Lake Erie that was the original nucleus of Cleveland, is now a favorite haunt of nightbirds, attracted by its numerous restaurants and cafes. On the west bank of the river is the Powerhouse of 1892, which until 1954 supplied the city's streetcars with electricity.
