Cleveland Museum of Art

 
The Cleveland Museum of Art is particularly strong on medieval art from Europe and Asia and American art. Among notable American artists represented are John Singleton Copley ("Portrait of Anna Dummer Powell", 1764), Frederic Edwin Church ("Twilight in the Wilderness", 1860) and Thomas Eakins ("The Biglin Brothers Turning the Stake", 1873). Medieval European art is represented by nine items from Brunswick Cathedral, modern art by the French Impressionists and Picasso.

In addition to the permanent collection the Cleveland Museum of Art also hosts special exhibitions and events.
