The River and Rowing Museum was recently opened on the river bank at Henley-on-Thames. The museum uses the latest technology and interactive displays to examine the present and future of the River Thames; the international sport of rowing; and the town of Henley and the river's part in its development. On display you will find the world's oldest competative rowing boat and as well as Britain's winning shell in the Atlanta Olympics.
The museum also features a library and research centre that will be of interest to rowing enthusiasts, athletes and coaches.
