Charles Towne Landing Description
Charles Towne is the site of the first permanent English settlement in South Carolina. It was founded in 1670.

The 665-acre park showcases animals indigenous to the state in 1670, these include alligators, bobcats, bison, foxes, white tailed deer, pumas (cougars), and bears. A guided tram tour is available for visitors.
