Charles City - Berkeley Plantation
The Berkeley Plantation in Charles City is famous for being the site of the first Thanksgiving celebration in 1619. Despite this, the mansion itself was not built until 1726. Perhaps the most impressive part of the Berkeley Plantation are the grounds which stretch on for close to 1,000 acres. Rolling hills, woodlands, pastures, and manicured lawns are all part of the experience.
