Brévent

A cableway installed in 1926-1930 (lower station in La Molaz or La Molard, 1,090m/3,576ft) ascends in 15min. to the top of Le Brévent (2,525m/8,285ft). From here it takes eight min. to reach the intermediate station of Planpraz (1,993m/6,539ft), where it is necessary to change. The upper section, 1,350m/4,430ft long, climbs in seven min., without any intermediate supports, to the upper station (2,505m/8,219ft), just below the summit (restaurant). From here there are breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc group immediately opposite, the Bernese Alps to the northeast and the mountains of Dauphiné to the southwest.
