St Joseph's Indian School Description
St. Joseph's Indian School is a non-profit residential and education facility that relies on the support of private individuals to fund the care of over 200 needy Native American boys and girls in grades one through 12. The school's mission is to provide each child with an enriched, integrated living and learning environment with focus on education, culture, spirituality, healthy-living and self-awareness.

The St Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain has been serving as a "home away from home" for Lakota (Sioux) children since 1927. The Sioux Chapel has stained-glass windows that depict the Sacred Rites of the Sioux.
