Chadds Ford Historical Society Museum Description
The Chadds Ford Historical Society maintains two 18th century restorations - the John Chads House and the Barns-Brinton House.

The John Chads House is the home of the ferryman and farmer for whom Chadds Ford was named. Built in 1725, it has original oak floors, paneling, and woodwork.

The Barns-Brinton House was William Barns' Tavern in the 1720s. Built in 1714, the brick building was used as a tavern, with a private side for the family and a barroom and sleeping quarters for travelers.
