The Westen District is a narrow arm of Grand Cayman that is heavily populated. The coast along Seven Mile Beach is lined with luxury hotels and residences.
Hell, Cayman Islands
Nearby sinister black rock formations influenced the naming of the town of Hell. In 1962 Hell opened its own district post office for those who wanted to mark their visit to Hell officially. The post office is now painted bright red and a resident "devil" dispenses witticisms along with souvenirs.A sturdy boardwalk was also established to provide a better access to the rock formation.
Seven Mile Beach
Seven Mile Beach is a beautiful stretch of white sand that is extremely popular and well known throughout the Caribbean. The beach stretches from George Town to Hell. The island side of the beach is lined with hotels and island residences.

Turtle Farm
Turtle Farm of Grand Cayman is a research and breeding farm housing five species of green sea turtles. It provides a large export business for the island, but it also has helped to preserve the turtles from extinction.
Grand Cayman - Prospect Point
Prospect Point on Grand Cayman overlooks South Sound and Spotts Bay. Low rise development along this area fronts a long but narrow stretch of beach.
Fort Prospect
This ruins of Fort Prospect on Grand Cayman once housed the island's government. Today a monument marks the site.
Prospect Beach
A wreck lies in the waters of Prospect Beach on Grand Cayman.
Half Way Pond
Half Way Pond does not mark the center of the island but is between West Bay and North Sound.
North Sound
Reefs protect the large bay of North Sound from the open sea, and it is an excellent site for water sports such as kayaking or wind surfing.
Batabano
Batabano is a fishing village with a marina which provides access to the nearby reefs.
South Sound
With its sheltering reef and the sunken wreck at its entrance, South Sound is a popular spot for diving and snorkeling.

The town of Savannah is home to the Pedro St James Historic Site.
Pedro's Castle St James Historic Site
Pedro's Castle St James Historic Site is an 18th C plantation house and one of the oldest buildings on the island. It is furnished in the Caribbean style of the period. The grounds are planted with pineapples and bananas.
