Cavtat - Racic Mausoleum

The Racic Mausoleum, in white stone, is perched on a rise in the town cemetery. It was built by Croatian sculptor, Ivan Mestrovic, in the early 1920s, for the Racic family. The Racics were shipbuilders and one member, Marija Racic, was rumored to have had a relationship with Mestrovic.

The Racic Mausoleum is an octagonal shaped building with an ornate entrance and bronze doors.
