Description
On the Piazza Garibaldi, the central point of Castelvetrano, stands the Chiesa Madre (16th century) with a rich doorway and an interior decorated with stucco, in front of which are the Fontana della Ninfa of 1615 and the town hall. The latter contains a small archeological collection, which included the bronze statue of the Ephebe of Selinunte, until in 1962 it was stolen from the mayor's chamber. It reappeared in 1968 and is now kept in the museum in Palermo.
