Cragfont Description
Construction of Cragfont was started in 1798 and completed in 1802 by General James Winchester, a Revolutionary War hero. The house is built of gray, rough-finished Tennessee limestone and poplar, walnut, cherry, and ash and furnished with authentic American Federal antiques, some of which are original Winchester pieces.
