McCook House and Civil War Museum Description
The McCook House Civil War Museum in Carrollton is operated by the Carroll County Historical Society. The family that owned this house was more commonly known as "the fighting McCooks", a name given to them because of their military service before and during the Civil War. The house was owned by Daniel McCook, who lived there with his nine sons. The McCook House and Civil War Museum is a memorial to this family.
