Schober Group - Mountain Tours

Mountain climbs lead from Grosskirchheim in the Möll Valley up the Gradenbach valley to the Adolf-Nossberger-Hütte (4.5 hours; inn) on the Gradensee (2,488m/8,163ft), from which the peaks of the Schober group can be climbed - e.g. by way of the Lienzer Hütte (1,977m/6,487ft) to the summit of the Hochschober (3,240m/10,630ft). The scenic Wangenitzsee (2,508m/8,229ft) can be reached from Grosskirchheim by way of the Wangenitz valley in 4.5 hours. From there it is a three hours' climb to the summit of the Petzeck (3,283m/10,772ft), the highest peak in the Schober group.
