Copland Track
Copland Track, the finest but most strenuous mountain trail in Mount Cook National Park, runs right across the park and into Westland National Park. It goes over the Copland Pass (2149m) and climbs into the fields of névé on the majestic summits. This walk (at least 4 days) is for thoroughly experienced walkers and climbers only and should only be done with a local guide.

There are many other waymarked trails of varying length in Mount Cook National Park, for example the Bowen Track, the Governor's Bush Walk, the Kea Point Walk, the Hooker Valley Walk, the Red Tarns Track and the Wakefield Track; all of them offer breathtaking views. Detailed descriptions of the routes can be obtained in the visitor center in Mount Cook village.
