Steinbach Attractions
Steinbach, a Mennonite town, is located 60 km / 50 miles South East of Winnipeg. It was originally settled in 1874 by 18 Mennonite families and Steinbach continues to proudly display its Mennonite heritage. The Mennonite Heritage Village is located on the main highway into town and features a exhibits on the history of the city and Mennonite culture in particular.
Steinbach is surrounded by some of Manitoba's best golf courses and riches agricultural lands. The city is also known as a great place to purchase an automobile. In fact, the city's advertising slogan is "Steinbach, the automobile city".
