Ogilvie Mountains

The highway begins on the southern slopes of the Ogilvie Mountains some 40 km (25 mi.) south of Dawson. After about 70 km (44 mi.), just before North Fork Pass (1290 m (4234 ft)) it reaches the timber line. From the pass can be seen the wedge-shaped Tombstone Mountain standing out against the background of hills.
