Levis Attractions
The city of Québec lies opposite the industrialized suburb of Lévis, from where there is a fine view to be had of the silhouette of the provincial capital with such a colorful past.
A ferry runs between Old Québec and Old Lévis making access easier for commuters and tourists.
Foremost among the sights around Lévis is Fort No. 1, constructed by British troops between 1865 and 1872. Built on Pointe-Lévis (115 m (375 ft)) just across the river from Québec's Citadel, the fort was one of three defense works erected on the south shore of the St Lawrence for the protection of Québec City.
