Kenora on the north-east shore of Lake of the Woods is in Northwestern Ontario, and a center for the many floatplanes and other light aircraft that ferry adventurous holidaymakers around on their fishing and hunting trips out of the many lodges.

Lake of the Woods Museum in Kenora houses a collection of artifacts and local history archives featuring aboriginals and pioneers. The collection focuses on the period from 1880 to 1920 in the Lake of the Woods area.
