Gravenhurst is a popular summer town, located on the shores of Lake Muskoka. The lake is known for its upscale cottages and consequently the town has many shops and features to accommodate the summer crowd.

Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site
The Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site in Gravenhurst was the birthplace of Dr Norman Bethune in 1890. The ground floorand master bedroom have been restored to c1890. The second floor features exhibits that describe Bethune's life and accomplishments.
