Digby Attractions
The little fishing village of Digby, famous for its scallops, lies by the link road between the Annapolis Valley and the Bay of Fundy. From Digby it is possible to take a boat trip across the Bay of Fundy to St Jean in New Brunswick.
The area around Digby is also known for great whale watching, as well as parks and hiking trails.
Housed in a Georgian style house, built around 1840, the Admiral Digby Museum is one of the oldest structures in the Town of Digby and is named in honor of Rear Admiral Robert Digby, although he never lived in the building. Exhibits include pioneer furnishings, photographs and marine artifacts.
The home is locally referred to as the Woodrow/Dakin House.
