Brighton's Proctor House was built in the late 1860s by John E. Proctor, a local merchant. It is an Italianate style house with views over Lake Ontario and the surrounding countryside. Exhibits change regularly and guided tours describe the history of the house. The property has a community theatre, carriage shed, agricultural museum and hiking trails.
