Barrie, a city located approximately one hour north of Toronto, was originally a landing place for aboriginal inhabitants and fur traders. The city is a good place for recreational activities all year round including swimming, boating, golfing and water-skiing.

Park Place (formerly Molson Park)
Park Place in Barrie, which many locals still refer to as Molson Park, has over 180 acres of grounds that include four Beach Volleyball Courts, three Baseball Diamonds and two Sports and Special Events Fields. A variety of concerts and festivals are held throughout the year.
