Playa Santa Lucia

For beach seekers in the province of Santa Lucia, the main spot of choice is Playa Santa Lucia. Here 20km / 12mi of white sand beach and turquoise waters make this a popular resort area. A few kilometers off shore is a reef that serves as both a great barrier to provide a calm swimming area, and also a wonderful diving location. There are more than 30 scuba diving sites off of Playa Santa Lucia with a huge variety of marine life, shipwrecks, and even shark feeding for the more adventurous divers.

There are resorts along here to accommodate tourists and numerous dive operators in the area.

Nearby, at the bay of Nuevitas is another beautiful beach worth visiting, known as Playa Los Cocos.
