Cayo Sabinal

Cayo Sabinal is a coral island, not far from Playa Santa Lucia. It's possible to reach Cayo Sabinal by road via a causeway where visitors must pay a toll, or by catamaran from Playa Santa Lucia. The island is home to several beautiful beaches; Playa Bonita, Plaza Los Pinos, and Playa Brava. In addition to the beaches Cayo Sabinal also boasts the largest colony of flamingos found in Cuba, as well as other birds. Unfortunately the birds are attracted by the large number of mosquitoes and other insects that can make life unpleasant for visitors. There are a variety of accommodation options and restaurants on Cayo Sabinal.
