Santa Ynez Attractions

Santa Ynez is a turn-of-the 20th century village with old west history at the museums and missions.

The Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum has exhibits about the Chumash Indian culture, as well as 19th and early 20th century life in the Santa Ynez Valley. A large collection of North American Indian baskets, pottery, beadwork and weaving is on display.

The Parks-Janeway Carriage House houses an extensive collection of surreys, stagecoaches, phaetons and other horse-drawn vehicles.
