San Juan Capistrano is located southeast of Los Angeles and is the site of the famous mission. Junipero Serra founded Mission San Juan Capistrano in 1776. Each Spring the famous Swallows of Capistrano arrive to nest and have their young, which is a beautiful sight to see!

The Los Rios Historic District is a site not to be missed by visitors to San Juan Capistrano. It has a collection of homes that were moved to the district to preserve them.
The San Juan Capistrano Library was designed by post-modern architect Michael Graves in 1982. It is organized around an internal court with covered reading areas.
