Named after the color of the soil, Redlands is located 8mi/13km southeast of San Bernardino. The town was incorporated in 1888 with the University of Redlands as the center of life in this town.
The Edwards Mansion in Redlands is a three story Victorian house surrounded by orange groves, lush grounds, and cascading waterfalls. It was built in 1890.
The grounds also include a turn-of-the-century wedding chapel.

Kimberly Crest was built in 1897 in French Chateau style and stands today as a well preserved example of the Victorian Era. The three- story chateau was originally built by Mrs. Cornelia A. Hill, a widow from New York State. In 1905, J. Alfred Kimberly (a co-founder of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation) and Helen Cheney Kimberly purchased the home.
Highlights include Italian gardens, lily ponds and a French Revival parlor.

The Morey Mansion is a classic Victorian home, built in 1890, that is now a bed and breakfast. It has appeared in countless commercials, television shows, and movies.
Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom offers the young visitor a number of attractions including a waterpark and rides. The park is located just off Interstate 10 at 1101 California Street in Redlands.
The San Bernardino Asistencia Mission in Redlands was built between 1830 and 1834 as a part of the Mission San Gabriel's Rancho San Bernardino. Visitors to Asistencia can tour the museum, walk through historic rooms, and relax in the gardens.

The San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands is the largest museum in inland Southern California with three floors of exhibits. visitors experience the natural and cultural history of inland Southern California. Featured are displays and collections of archaeology and anthropology, minerals, fossils, history, and the natural sciences, including North American mammals and an outstanding collection of birds and eggs.
The San Bernardino County Museum also offers changing exhibits for both children and adults.
