Novato Attractions
Novato (pop. 47,585) is located north of San Francisco on U.S. Highway 101. The town is the national leader in the production of CD-ROMs.
The Marin Museum of the American Indian in Novato has prehistoric Miwok Indian artifacts as well as Navajo textiles, Plains beadwork, and Northwest Coast masks.

The Novato History Museum was founded by the Novato Historical Guild in 1976. It is located in the home of Novato's first Postmaster, Henry F. Jones. The building was moved to its present location and restored in 1972.
