The Sandpiper Golf Course is located on the coast near Santa Barbara in Goleta. Designed and built in 1972, it is considered to be one of the best golf courses in America.

Sherman Stow built a Gothic Revival house and moved in with his bride in 1873, the house was expanded in two other renovations during the 1880s and 1910. Family photographs, furniture, and stories of Sherman and his family are featured. The Goleta History Museum, or Sexton House, now contains a blacksmith shop, carriage house and maritime museum.
