Forest Lawn Memorial Park is actually a cemetery, and the final resting place of some of the country's most famous people. The gravestones are purposefully simple but the park is decorated with works of art and memorials.
This classical theatre company, A Noise Within, presents productions of Shakespeare, Moliere, Shaw, Chekhov, and a wide variety of classic American playwrights.
The Alex Theater was built in 1925 and remains a landmark of Glendale. The art deco marquee heralds a spacious open-air lobby and 1,450-seat theater. The theater originally showed silent movies and vaudeville entertainment, it now hosts about 250 events each year.

The Brand Library and Art Center is located in Brand Park in a Moorish-style mansion built in 1904. It features a library of art, music and a gallery.
