Boron (pop. 2,000) is located on Highway 58 west of Barstow and north of Edwards. It is home to the Twenty Mule Team Museum and U.S. Borax.

Twenty Mule Team Museum
Twenty Mule Team Museum features the history of borax mining in Death Valley and Boron, and historical artifacts relating to local history. Exhibits include mining artifacts and equipment, antique machinery, and unique art work.
