Calgary - Canada Olympic Park

In the foothills of the mountains to the west of the city rise the strange-looking towers of the Olympic ski-slopes at Calgary Olympic Park, or COP as it's called locally. In 1988 it was the primary site for the XV Olympic Winter Games. The hill is still open to skiing and snowboarding in the winter. As well, the bob-sleigh run and toboggan-run are also here.

During the summer months the hill becomes a mountain biking park.

Guided tours of Calgary Olympic Park take place every day when a panoramic view of the Calgary skyline can be enjoyed from the top of the 90 m (295 ft) ski-slope.
