Description
Some 2km / 1.25mi out of Cabano on Route 232 lies Fort Ingall, built of wood in 1839 and which at one time housed 200 soldiers. The fort was lovingly restored a few years ago. A small museum explains how the officers and men lived here and what disputes and clashes they were faced with. From the terrace of the fort surrounded with stout palisades there is a lovely view over Lake Témiscouata. There is also a beautiful picnic site here.
