Burnaby - Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology

 
The Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology displays the results of research into the about 10,000 years of Indian settlement in the province. There are also a number of totem poles and everyday items of contemporary North-west Coast Indian culture, together with a small ethnographic collection. In addition to mounting special exhibitions of contemporary art at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, the Simon Fraser Gallery owns an large and impressive collection of works by Inuit artists.

Although the museum focuses on Canadian and British Columbia archaeology, there are also collections from other parts of the world at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology in Burnaby.
