Nagytétény - Castle Museum

(Local Name: Kastélymúzeum) The major point of interest in Nagytétény is the Baroque Castle, which now houses a branch of the Museum of Applied Arts. This great country house was built in the 18th C, making use of the remains of 15th C buildings. After suffering severe damage during the Second World War it was carefully restored a few years ago and opened as a museum.

Of interest are some finely constructed items of furniture from the 15th to the 19th C (predominantly of Hungarian and German origin) and a collection of stove tiles and stoves.
