Bradenton - South Florida Museum and Bishop Planetarium

 
The South Florida Museum documents the history of Manatee County and southwest Florida. There are exhibits on the natural history of the region, Civil War memorabilia, fossils, Indian relics and turn of the century artifacts. There's also a medical wing with various pieces of equipment set up in a life-like setting. On the second floor, an aquarium houses Snooty, born in 1949 at the old Miami Aquarium. Bishop Planetarium present multi-media star and laser show several times a week.
