Almindigen State Forest Description
South of Østerlars stretches the State Forest of Almindingen, with a number of small lakes and the highest hill on the island of Bornholm, the Rytterknægten (162m/530ft, viewing tower). Further north are the ruins of Lilleborg, which ranked with Hammershus as one of the two most important fortresses in Bornholm.
