Bordighera - Museo Bicknell

 
In Via Regina Margherita in Bordighera, is the Museo Bicknell, which houses Liguria's archeological collections (over 50,000 books, a large photographic archive, collection of rubbings of rock-drawings from Monte Bego, and complete reconstruction of a second century Roman tomb). To the right of the entrance is a memorial tablet to Charles Bicknell. From the Via Romana there are charming views of beautiful palm-gardens.

It ends in the west at the Rio Borghetto, in the east at the Spianata del Capo, on top of the promontory, from which there are magnificent views: of the Ospedaletti bay to the northeast and Ventimiglia, the Côte d'Azur and the peaks of the Maritime Alps, usually snow-capped, to the west. At the foot of the cliff-fringed promontory is a seafront promenade, the Lungomare Argentina.
