Bloomfield Hills - Cranbrook Educational Community

The Cranbrook Academy of Art stems from the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and emerged as the country's preeminent school of art, design, and architecture.

The Art Museum offers both a glimpse into Cranbrook's past through its collection and tours of the campus while offering changing exhibitions of the finest contemporary art.

Cranbrook is an Arts and Crafts style house, designed by Albert Kahn and built on 40 acres that included a formal garden, a small artificial pond, a tennis court, and a private park thickly grown with varied trees and flowering shrubs.

Science and natural history are presented at the Cranbrook Institute of Science through exhibits that include a large mineral collection, planetarium, laser light show, observatory and nature center.
