Beauvoir / Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library Description
Beauvoir and the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library suffered heavy damage from Hurricane Katrina and underwent renovations following the storm.

The Library pavillion, the Hayes cottage, Soldier's Home Barracks replica, Confederate Soldier's Museum, Giftshop, and director's home were totally destroyed.

Built in 1853, this was the last home of Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederate States of America. It contains many of the furnishings from the time of Davis.

This 51 acre site includes the house, the Confederate Museum, and the cemetery of Confederate graves.
