Billund - Legoland
|
|
Designers of the firm had often made large colored models from Lego bricks for fairs and exhibitions, and these were greatly admired. This led to the setting up of a park with miniature buildings made of Lego bricks. On June 7, 1968 "Legoland" was opened near Billund. The extensive site, originally a barren area of heathland, became a large leisure park of various complexes.
