Biarritz - Surroundings

Biarritz is a good base for excursions in the surrounding area. To the south is the Côte des Basques, with such attractive towns as Bayonne, St-Jean-de-Luz and Hendaye, to the north Labenne, Hossegor, with the world's highest dune, Capbreton and Seignosse.

South of Biarritz, inland, is the little town of Ascain, with pretty Basque half-timbered houses.
