Bernburg - Palace Schloss
Bernburg's principal landmark is the Schloss (1538-70), a Renaissance palace on the banks of the Saale. It has a richly decorated Baroque doorway, a "Blue Tower,", Romanesque keep ("Eulenspiegel Tower"; outlook tower). Its Renaissance features are notable (nave by A. Günter and N. Hoffmann).

Bernburger Schlosskirche
In the Bernburg castle church of St Ägidien or St Giles (1752; Baroque, with Romanesque elements) is the three-story ducal burial vault, with sumptuous Baroque sarcophagi.
Carl Maria von Weber Theater
Within the Bernburger Schloss are the old court theater, in neo-classical style (by J. A. P. Bunge, 1826-27), now the Carl Maria von Weber Theater, and lodgings for members of the court.
District Museum
The Bernburger Schloss now houses the District Museum. Of particular interest is the exhibition, "Mills and Millers".
