(Local Name: Zeiss Grossplanetarium) The spherical building housing the Zeiss Giant Planetarium towers on the northern edge of Ernst-Thälmann-Park in Berlin.

In glass showcases arranged round the foyer is a display of old optical equipment, such as telescopes and other astronomical instruments from the famous Zeiss factory in Jena.
